Awards and Recognition

CHS has earned a place in the top 12% of U.S. hospitals using an electronic medical record (EMR), as recognized by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Analytics, and has achieved Stage 6 on the HIMSS Analytics Outpatient EMR Adoption Modelsm. All six CHS hospitals were rated "high performing" for one or more common adult procedures and conditions by U.S. News & World Report (2016–2017). In 2016, CHS was the Medal of Honor title sponsor for the Suffolk County Marathon benefiting local veteran service organizations and served again as the race's official provider of medicine.
