Board certified neurosurgeon Kimon Bekelis, MD, is the director of the Stroke & Brain Aneurysm Center and co-director of the Neuro ICU at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, CHS's chair of neurointerventional services and director of the Population Health Research Institute at CHS and an integral member of the neurosurgical team at Long Island Neurosurgical & Pain Specialists (LINPS). Dr. Bekelis has a subspecialty in minimally invasive endovascular neurosurgery and specializes in Gamma Knife Radiosurgery and complex spine and brain operations. In addition, he is an assistant professor at the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice.
