Neurosurgery: Lee Tessler, MD, FAANS, FACS
Originally from Syosset, Long Island, Lee Tessler, MD, is a board certified neurosurgeon who specializes in the treatment of primary brain tumors, metastatic tumors, meningiomas, stereotactic surgery and radiosurgery. In addition to his role as secretary on the Executive Committee of Mercy Medical Center's Medical Staff, Dr. Tessler serves as the executive director and co-surgical director of the Long Island Brain Tumor Center and runs numerous clinical trials in neuro-oncology and tumor vaccines. He currently serves as vice president of the Nassau County Medical Society and as the New York Delegate to the Council of State Neurosurgical Societies. He is a police surgeon with the Nassau County Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police.
