Orthopedic Spine Surgery: Matthew J. Goldstein, MD
Matthew J. Goldstein, MD, specializes in the operative and non-operative management of spinal disorders, including degenerative conditions of the cervical and lumbar spine, lumbar and cervical disc herniations, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, adjacent segment disease after fusion, pediatric and adult scoliosis and other spinal deformities. He is trained in and practices minimally invasive techniques for spinal surgery and spinal reconstruction for motion and muscular preservation. Dr. Goldstein recognizes how important it is that his patients understand their symptoms, condition and treatment options and believes that physical fitness, exercise and diet play a key role in spinal, musculoskeletal and overall health. While surgery may be necessary, he explores all nonoperative modalities, along with preoperative optimization before surgery.
