Long Island Ducks’ QuackerJack, visited Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center
on Valentine’s Day. He distributed carnations and pennants for patients and
their families in the Medical Center’s Geriatric and Pediatric Units. The
patients were delighted to meet QuackerJack on this special day. “Most people
think Valentine’s Day is just about spending time with their significant
other,” said Ducks General Manager Michael Hirsch. “We like to think of it
more as letting the people who matter the most to us know how we feel. The
people of Long Island, especially the kids, mean the most to us, so we visited
Good Sam to let them know we’re thinking of them.” Join Good Samaritan on May
21 as we celebrate “Good Sam Night” at Citibank Park in Central Islip.
