Patient Experience:

In compliance with federal mandates to assess patients’ hospitalization experiences, CHS has selected HealthStream to administer the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey, an initiative developed by the U.S. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.  The use of HCAHPS scores helps health care providers to continually improve services and programs to meet patients’ needs, as well as better enabling patients to make an informed choice regarding which hospitals to select for treatment.

The voice of the patient is heard loud and clear at CHS; our patient satisfaction scores have consistently exceeded New York state averages.  The tables below reflect an organization deeply committed to providing quality health care with a focus on patient satisfaction.  Visitors to www.hospitalcompare.hhs.gov can look up their local hospitals to view the results and see how each hospital scored with patient experience measures.
