Catholic Health Enhances Long Island’s Pediatric Specialty Care Services

For nearly a quarter-century, Catholic Health has been on the forefront, providing Suffolk County residents specialized pediatric services at Good Samaritan Hospital’s Pediatric Specialty Care in Babylon.

Now, that level of expertise is available to Nassau County residents at the Family Care Center located on the Mercy Hospital campus in Rockville Centre. The new center is home to Catholic Health Physician Partners pediatric specialists that include allergy/immunology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, hematology, infectious disease, nephrology, neurology and pulmonology. 

“We are excited by this expansion and the opportunity to bring much-needed services to residents close to where they live,” said Good Samaritan Hospital’s Department of Pediatrics Chairman Catherine Caronia, MD. “Treating children for illness and injury differs from treating adults, which is why special training in pediatric medicine is important.”

Catholic Health’s team is dedicated to offering outstanding medical treatment for every child in a skilled and nurturing environment. Board-certified physicians in multiple pediatric subspecialties are experienced in advanced medicine required to address each child’s specific health care needs.

The growth of pediatric specialty services at the Family Care Center is the latest enhancement to the practice’s women’s and children’s health services that includes obstetrics, gynecology, neonatal high risk, maternal fetal medicine, pulmonary outpatient services, bariatrics and diabetes education.
