Based on the NYS DOH Health Advisory Update: “Nursing Home Visitor Testing and Screening for COVID-19” dated March 17, 2023, Visitor Testing and Screening are no longer required.

To keep our residents, staff and visitors safe, we must ask all visitors to comply with the following guidelines:

  • Masking: Although the wearing of masks is not mandatory, it is still recommended due to our high-risk population. Masks are available at the entrance to the facility.

Masks are mandatory if visiting a facility COVID area or visiting a unit that is currently in Outbreak testing.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Additional precautions will be required for residents requiring additional precautions due to a positive COVID test or an exposure to a positive resident, staff, or visitor. Masks, eye shields, gowns and gloves may be required. Please see the nurse prior to visiting.
  • Infection Control Core Principles must be adhered to at all times during your visit:
    • Please do not visit if you have COVID symptoms, have had a positive COVID test, or have been in close contact with a positive COVID individual for 10 days after testing, exposure, or symptoms onset.

Symptoms include fatigue, aching muscles, headache, fever, sore throat, shortness of breath, cough, or diarrhea.

  • Ensure Hand Hygiene with alcohol-based sanitizer before and after your visit
  • Please maintain adequate separation from facility personnel and other patients/residents/ visitors that are not directly associated with the resident you are visiting
  • Follow masking and PPE directives as indicated above
