Testing for Specific Conditions

Your pediatrician will refer you to a Catholic Health pediatric gastroenterologist if your child has trouble with constipation, diarrhea, poor weight gain or other gastrointestinal issues that require specialized care. Our pediatric surgeons also offer clinical excellence in gastroenterology surgery, using minimally invasive procedures whenever possible.

Our pediatric gastroenterologists work alongside pediatric anesthesiologists to ensure a child is comfortable during testing to diagnose gastrointestinal issues. Diagnostic procedures include upper endoscopy and lower endoscopy.

Dietary Counseling

Our registered dietitians are experts in counseling children on the best foods to eat for optimal gastrointestinal health and overall general health.

Our dietitians will create customized and easy-to-follow plans for children who require a special diet. They add as many fun foods as possible while staying within the diet.
