Wound care patient and doctor

Catholic Health is expanding its service offerings with the opening of a new Center for Hyperbaric Medicine & Wound Healing at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, NY. In partnership with RestorixHealth, the Center will offer comprehensive wound care for all slow-to-heal and non-healing wounds.

“We are delighted to provide this much-needed service in our community for those who are seeking innovative treatment for wound care,” said St. Charles President James O’Connor. “Our multidisciplinary team of specialists will offer individualized treatment plans including hyperbaric oxygen therapy and utilizing evidence-based therapies and technologies that ensures patients will have the best chance for a healed outcome.”

The new Center will be beneficial for patients seeking treatment of chronic wounds and ulcers that haven’t responded to treatment after four weeks or haven’t healed entirely after two months. Long Islanders will find comfort in the Center’s comprehensive approach, as it eliminates the need to travel from one health provider to another to complete their therapy.

“I look forward to the opportunity to help patients heal from their wounds and improve their quality of life,” said Jason Foeppel, RN, BSN, St. Charles’ Program Director, Center for Hyperbaric Medicine & Wound Healing. “We are confident that our team of wound care specialists will make a positive impact on the lives of our patients dealing with chronic and non-healing wounds.”
