Catholic Health is planning to open a new outpatient medical building on the Mercy Hospital campus next year.
The hospital was awarded grants from the Department of Health and Mother Cabrini Health Foundation to enhance patient access for its underserved populations. With those funds, Mercy has begun to develop a new state-of-the-art 16,000-square-foot Ambulatory Care medical office building. When completed, it will move its existing outpatient medical clinics located in the hospital to this new outpatient setting and expand its services by offering primary care, cardiology, endocrinology, etc.
The new center is being built where the convent of the Congregation of the Infant Jesus once stood. Stained glass of the convent is currently being preserved and will be integrated into the new building design.
Construction of the new space began earlier this month, and is scheduled to be completed by early 2022.
