“There is a correlation between general wellness and dental health,” said Catholic Health’s President & Chief Executive Officer Patrick M. O’Shaughnessy, DO, MBA. “Catholic Health’s collaboration with ProHEALTH Dental will help more Long Islanders develop and maintain good oral health.”

ProHEALTH Dental continues to expand its medical/dental integration model through a clinical affiliation agreement with Catholic Health. ProHEALTH Dental and Catholic Health will explore how best to educate patients and the community on better dental health.

Through this affiliation, Catholic Health providers and ProHEALTH Dental dentists will collaborate on coordinated care and patient education programs to improve the overall health and wellness of their patients. ProHEALTH Dental’s state-of-the-art dental offices will provide a full range of general and specialty services to Catholic Health’s patients of all ages.

“Our new clinical affiliation with Catholic Health is yet another step toward bringing medicine and dentistry together in support of overall health,” said Norton L. Travis, CEO of ProHEALTH Dental. “ProHEALTH Dental is honored to be working with Catholic Health and further expand our services and mission across Long Island and help patients understand the importance of good oral health as a crucial element of their overall health and well-being.”

This will be ProHEALTH Dental’s seventh major clinical affiliation with health care organizations that collectively provide medical services to millions of patients across the tri-state region. As with the other clinical affiliations, Catholic Health and ProHEALTH Dental remain separate legal entities that are solely responsible for the care of their patients. Through this clinical affiliation model, ProHEALTH Dental currently operates 13 offices with several more planned to open by year end.
