Randy Howard

Randolph G. Howard, Jr., MHA, FACHE, has been named Chief Operating Officer at Catholic Health’s St. Catherine of Siena Hospital (Smithtown, NY). A retired army officer, Howard has 20 years of experience in health care administration.
 
In his new role, Howard will: oversee daily hospital operational and administrative functions; design and implement business strategies; set comprehensive goals for performance and growth across all clinical services lines; and continue to ensure patient safety and patient satisfaction.

As St. Catherine’s COO, Mr. Howard will further enhance our hospital’s mission in providing the highest quality of care to our patients.”
 
Prior to joining Catholic Health, Howard served as Northwell Health’s Senior Vice President, Corporate Facilities Services where he oversaw property management for 18 million square feet for all Northwell-affiliated hospitals, as well as over 800 non-hospital properties. He also previously served for nine years as Deputy Executive Director and COO at Northwell Health’s Huntington Hospital. Earlier in Howard’s career, he was appointed as Northwell’s Director, Military and Veterans Liaison Services; Director, Field Operations at Health Net Federal Services in Watertown, NY; and COO at Guthrie Ambulatory Healthcare Center in Ft. Drum, NY.
 
Howard earned his Master of Healthcare Administration from Baylor University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Boston College. He is a member of numerous professional organizations and is currently a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, as well as Chair of the Finance Committee at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs in Centerport, NY. In addition, Howard served as a volunteer firefighter with the Centerport Fire Department.
