The Emergency Department at St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center® in Roslyn, NY, helps Long Islanders who are experiencing serious to critical medical issues and need immediate, emergency care. We treat patients 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Our highly experienced and compassionate team of board-certified emergency medicine physicians, registered nurses, radiologists and additional support staff are dedicated to providing excellence in emergency medicine.

Patients who present to our emergency department with cardiac issues have access to the country’s top experts in cardiothoracic surgery, electrophysiology, heart failure, interventional cardiology, noninvasive imaging and vascular procedures.
St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center® is a New York State Department of Health-designated Primary Stroke Center and certified by the New York State Joint Commission. Our neurointerventionalists perform mechanical thrombectomy, a minimally-invasive procedure that removes a clot from a patient's artery. Our expert physicians, mid-level practitioners, nurses and technicians make the critical difference in stroke response and treatment.
St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center® received the 2022 American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines®-Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award as well as the Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Award.
In 2021, 100% of eligible acute ischemic stroke patients received mechanical endovascular reperfusion therapy. In addition, the death rate within 24 hours was zero for patients who underwent a diagnostic cerebral angiogram.
